The Haematology directorate is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to the position of Clinical Trials Data Coordinator in the Clinical Research Group
Based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, the post holder will be required to support increasing Experimental Cancer Medicines (ECMC) activity, which includes exciting new clinical trials in Cellular Therapy, and will provide essential data management support to the team. The post holder will ensure that appropriate data collection and monitoring systems are developed and maintained within the research team.
Excellent communication skills will be required to liaise with colleagues across the Health Board and external organisations. Previous experience in a similar NHS data management role would be advantageous, plus a high level of IT ability and excellent analytical skills will also be required.
Main duties of the job
This Role is based within the Clinical Research Group in the University Hospital of Wales and houses many trials for blood cancer patients. The unit has approximately 65 trials over 10 disease areas and is a centre of excellence for leukaemia research. The unit is going from strength to strength and is developing its staff footprint in order to offer more treatments to patients across Wales.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 2 years due to funding.
