Job summary
As the Equity & Inclusion Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Equity & Inclusion Team, coordinating resources and keeping day-to-day tasks on track to deliver impactful initiatives across the organisation. Your leadership will be key in driving our Strategic Equality Objectives and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
In this role, you'll empower staff at all levels through engaging training and awareness programmes, equipping them to integrate equity and inclusion into everything they do. You'll be a central advisor on equality legislation, supporting managers in creating fair, welcoming environments for both colleagues and service users.
As a collaborative leader, you'll build strong relationships across departments, working with staff networks, senior leaders, and external partners to support our inclusion goals. This is a role where you'll directly contribute to shaping a diverse, inclusive culture that reflects our values. Main duties of the job
As Equity & Inclusion Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of training programs that foster a deeper understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across the Health Board. You'll ensure day-to-day operations and resources are aligned to meet strategic EDI objectives effectively. You'll create engaging workshops and training sessions designed to equip staff at all levels with practical skills to integrate EDI principles into their daily work, promoting meaningful behavioural change and compliance with EDI best practices.
Providing guidance to teams on EDI-related legislation and organisational values, you will support staff in upholding a culture of fairness and inclusion. You'll work collaboratively with staff networks and external partners, driving key initiatives such as the Anti-racist and LGBTQ+ Action Plans to embed an inclusive culture across all Health Board services.
