If then answer is yes, the Pharmacy Department is currently recruiting for a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with patients, supporting medicines independence and identifying appropriate aids or solutions to enable safe medicines management on discharge. To facilitate the medication discharge ensuring safe ongoing supplies of medicines in the community. To undertake medicines administration for an identified cohort of patients in an identified area.
Whilst ACT and Medicines Management qualifications are required for this post, we welcome applicants who wish to work towards these qualifications and full training will be provided. During training the contract will be Annex 21: 75% of a Band 5 for up to 12 months until qualifications in both ACT and Medicines Management are achieved.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly Medicines Management Team at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff.
The role will involve working as an integral part of our Medicines Management Pharmacy team, delivering a patient-orientated Medicines Management service and working closely with our patients to aid medicines administration, support medicines independence and facilitate complex medicines discharge situations discharge across the Health board.
You will need to be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician or working towards qualifying within 3 months, with excellent organisational and communication skills and a passion for providing a Patient focused service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
