Job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Digital Project Managers to lead and co-ordinate the Digital Implementations of Cardiff and Vale Health Board. The candidate will join the Digital Service Management Team within our Digital and Health Intelligence Department, on a permanent basis. This diverse role will require a range of digital, interpersonal, management and change skills as you lead a dedicated team of staff to support and enhance transformational digital systems.
The ideal candidates must be dynamic, resilient and have a flexible approach to working, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience in the delivery / support of digital technologies is essential as well as extensive experience with Digital operational Teams
Main duties of the job
The role will contribute to the delivery of local and national IT strategies at all levels across the Health Board. This will be through implementation of a range of digital projects - in co-operation with clinical stakeholders and supply chain partners - to drive service efficacy. Projects will be focused on releasing benefits envisaged in the strategies and business plans from both the NHS Wales Informatics Service and Cardiff and Vale UHB Digital Services.
A key part of this role will be to contribute to the strategic identification and management of projects that align with local and national strategy. This will be through working closely with senior clinicians and Digital managers to outline, develop and implement projects that achieve and deliver benefits aligned with the strategy.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will be able to engage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and partner organisations. A proven project manager you will demonstrate the ability to successfully lead teams, operate within tightly defined timescales and deliver outcomes to meet the team and organisational targets. You will also be a team player and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
