Band 7 Clinical Nurse HIV/BBV
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated autonomous practitioner to join the well established Infectious Diseases/BBV team. This autonomous practitioner will be able to devise, implement and follow up specialist treatments across a spectrum of infectious diseases, including blood borne viruses, for patients presenting to Cardiff and Vale infectious diseases services.
Main duties of the job
To be a skilled practitioner providing expert clinical care using an extensive theoretical knowledge base and practical experience to underpin the role, while acting as a role model for the delivery of expert care.
To deliver specialist educational programmes to a range of healthcare professionals in relation to infectious diseases, including medical, nursing and Allied Health Professional staff.
To lead research and audit within infectious diseases internally and externally to the UHB.
The successful post holder will be expected to work across a range of sites supported by the CAV ID team. The role is varied and offers the unique opportunity to work with some of our most underserved communities including those battling addiction, seeking refuge from war/ natural disaster and prejudice. The role requires a close working relationship with public health services and supporting national targets for elimination of hepatitis.
