Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within Cardiff and Vale UHB for a Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy team. We are looking for dynamic and innovative individual to support both clinical and administrative duties. The role will involve supporting both individual and group rehabilitation in outpatient and hydrotherapy settings. The base for the role will be the Physiotherapy Department at Barry Hospital, but will involve work at community settings (i.e. Leisure Centres etc) and other hospital sites, so ability to travel essential.
The post holder will have opportunities to further develop their skills working as part of our supportive clinical and administration team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside other Support Workers, and closely with our Administration Lead. The role will include direct clinical care, working under the direction of qualified Physiotherapists. This will include our Outpatient Department, Hydrotherapy and Leisure provision. In addition, working with our Administration Lead, this role will have responsibility for administration duties within the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department. This will include the use of electronic systems and packages such as ESR and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams).
The post holder will be supported by Clinical, Support and Administration Leads. There will be a clear competency-based training and the opportunity for further programmes of study to support ongoing Continuous Professional Development and career development.
