Job summary
The Electronic Assistive Technology Service Wales (EAT) provides a holistic assessment, trials, long term loan and maintenance service that aims to enhance our patients' independence, mobility and ability to communicate. The EAT service is made up of four services, but to a large extent operates as a single entity with a common referral pathway, triage and treatment regimen. The Service is provided by a range of registered healthcare professionals that include Clinical Scientists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Technologists, supported by unregistered support staff e.g. Administrators, Technical Instructors and hopefully soon - by you as the service engineer.
We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation, reconditioning and fault assessing of EAT equipment.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
The repair, adjustment and reconditioning of EAT equipment.
To support the EAT Technical and Clinical Staff with preparation of EAT equipment and assist staff at installation appointments. Delivering and collecting equipment as directed by senior staff.
To carry out administrative functions to support the clinical and technical team, that will include necessary administration, loading and unloading equipment, decontamination of equipment, resetting and reprogramming EAT equipment, checking equipment prior to restocking.To undertake visits to the homes of patients across South Wales and will therefore need to hold a full driving license and be aware of lone worker issues.
