Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from suitable candidates to work within the busy Radiology Directorate of the Cardiff and Vale UHB. The band 6 radiographer post will be based in University Hospital of Wales (UHW), but there may be occasions to rotate to other sites within the UHB. The successful candidate will be required to work in the general radiography service with a rotation into Nuclear Medicine and the PET/CT service.
UHW is a vibrant and friendly department employing over 160 radiographers across all modalities. UHW offers excellent training and development opportunities for radiographers with a wide range of modalities on site; MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Cardiology and Interventional Radiology. The successful applicant will rotate across all general areas and a specialist modality. We are looking for someone who shares our values within the UHB; where we trust and respect each other, where we take personal responsibility; act with integrity and where we treat people with kindness. Staff who work in the UHB care about the people we serve and the people we work with, therefore these are essential attributes the successful candidate must have.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
