Job summary

If you wish to develop in a busy, friendly team, where your skills and ideas are valued and your professional development is supported, come and join the Crisis Service!

We currently have a post within the Cardiff Crisis Team for a Community Mental Health Nurse. The successful applicant will join a Multidisciplinary Mental Health Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) covering Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The CRHTT provides an alternative to hospital admission for those clients who can be cared for safely with intensive home treatment. Clients of the CRHTT can access Day Services, provided by a Crisis Recovery Unit, up to seven days per week. There is also access to a Crisis House, managed in partnership with Platfform, which provides respite in a staffed house for up to one week or more, depending on client need.

As well as providing an alternative to hospital admission, the CRHTT supports early discharge from the hospital for those patients identified as suitable.

This is a 24 hour/7 day service, so the post-holder must be willing to participate in a rota which includes night duty

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
