Job summary

The Epilepsy Service, based within the Neurology Department, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Sodium Valproate Epilepsy Coordinator to support the delivery of the Sodium Valproate service.

The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative support to Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists within the service.

The postholder will need to be highly motivated, flexible to the needs of the service and multi skilled with excellent organisational and data skills. Excellent communication skills will also be required to facilitate effective working relationships.

It is vitally important that we provide a high quality service to patients, therefore if you are interested in joining a highly motivated team, it would be great to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will be a highly motivated team player, with administrative experience and sound clerical skills.

Excellent computer literacy is essential for the role, which will include the use of Microsoft Office packages and relevant databases. The post holder must be highly organised, self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A clear understanding of patient confidentiality and being able to work to deadlines is also required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
