Haematology Nurse - Teenage Cancer Trust Unit

Job summary
We are seeking motivated and dynamic nurses in search of a career in supporting haematology and cancer nursing for Teenagers and Young Adults(TYA) at the Principal Treatment Centre for TYA Cancer in Wales . We are an expert team of skilled professionals, looking for someone motivated and passionate to join us in our aim to provide the best care possible for teenagers and young adults with cancer, aged 14-25 years. As a band 5, you will have the opportunity to explore the many expanding disciplines of our speciality including chemotherapy, transplant, ambulatory care and day unit. Through this post, you will be supported to develop your haematology and oncology nursing skills through an educational framework, whilst working as a band 5 staff nurse in our nurse led unit.
Main duties of the job
We are a friendly and experienced team, who strive to deliver excellent patient care. We work closely with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team and together our objective is to ensure patients and their families receive care which is tailored to meet their individual needs. Our unit is a fast moving and progressive area which actively supports nurse led activities and offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development.

The University Health Board (UHB) is a smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.
