Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a Dietetic Project Support Worker to join the Cardiff Flying Start Dietetic Team.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with excellent communication skills to join our busy and friendly department of Public Health Dietitians and support workers.

A baseline knowledge of healthy eating and experience of working with groups is an advantage. Additional training will be provided.

The ability to travel around Cardiff is essential for this post.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work across Flying Start areas in Cardiff to support the delivery of community based nutrition interventions and practical food based sessions. They will be required to work with young children, their families and a wide range of teams and professionals under the supervision of Flying Start Dietitians.

Examples of food initiatives already underway in Cardiff are Get Cooking, the Gold Standard Healthy Snack Award, Little Cooks and Nutrition Skills for Life courses for families and staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
