- MBBS or equivalent Medical Qualification
- Current GMC certificate
- FRCOphth or equivalent
- Evidence of achievement of ST1 and ST2 competencies in Ophthalmology
- Effective communication skills- verbal and written up to date with current medical practices
Desirable
- Evidence of relevant academic and research achievements, e.g degrees, prizes, awards, distinctions, publications, presentations, other achievements
- Evidence of ability to perform ophthalmic procedures
- Evidence of active participation in one ophthalmic audit where the audit loop has been completed
