Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Occupational Therapist tomanage the ward teams in St Davids Hospital.We are seeking an experienced band 7 therapist with experience of team leadership and a sound understanding of the principles of rehabilitation and discharge planning. The post holder maybe required to work a 7 day rota.
The post will work alongside a part time Team Lead Occupational Therapist, andwill support the workstream to realign the community hospitals and deliver the D2RA model and 'Home First' principle across the wards. The post will deliver value based occupational therapy with the person at the centre of care practisingthe Right Care, Right Time, Right Place. Occupational therapy valuean MDT service approach and the post will support training and partnership working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead a team to :
Provide an environment where an enabling ethos is embedded in all activity to support individuals to achieve their goals and return to their usual place of residence
Provide a positive experience of recovery and rehabilitation which improves the outcomes for individuals.
Provide a safe environment and protect people from avoidable harm while supporting the independence goals and positive risk taking.
Ensure appropriately trained and sufficient staffing and support to deliver the service.
Deliver occupational therapy across the wards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
