Job summary
The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is pleased to invite applications for the post of Information Analyst to join the Business Intelligence Team in the digital and health intelligence directorate.
The post-holder will be part of a small team and will support and develop the delivery of information and business intelligence throughout the organisation. You should have proven experience in working with Business Intelligence products but also be someone who is proactive and forward thinking and has the initiative to seek out opportunities to be innovative and creative in the production and distribution of information.
As well as possessing the specialist knowledge and skills required for the role you will need to be dynamic, enthusiastic, have a positive can do attitude and be an excellent communicator with the ability to plan and manage your work in a pressurised environment where priorities can change quickly.
The post is based at Woodlands House in Cardiff with a hybrid working pattern between office and home based..
Main duties of the job
- Analyse, develop, and interpret present information to a high standard.
- Work with clinicians and managers to identify their information needs and to analyse and provide information to support them in the delivery of healthcare/planning and decision making.
- Participate in the regular and routine reporting for internal and external requirement, within deadlines and to the department standard.
- Support the provision of training and support to UHB Managers and Clinicians in the use of business intelligence tools.
- Ensure that information provided is validated, accurate, appropriate, and presented to the departmental standard.
- Monitor and investigate data quality issues.
