Job summary
The All Wales Medical Genomics Service are looking for suitably qualified Quality and Training Support Officers keen to make a difference to join the All Wales Genomics Laboratory service. This is a permanent, full time position currently based at University Hospital of Wales - however, please note that we will be relocating to a new facility at Cardiff Edge in 2023.
The pay progression steps for these posts as a Band 4 begin at £25, 524 and top at approximately £28, 010. The expectation is that all staff will meet the required standards and will, therefore, be able to progress on their pay step date.

Main duties of the job
The role will be part of theworking across theclinical, laboratory and quality team in AWMGS with a specific focus in supporting in the administrative functions of the laboratory management systemsfunctions as we go through these exciting and challenging times in the service.The role will suit candidates who enjoy utilising their practical IT skills, learning new software, task focused with a high attention to detail.
The successful candidate will need to work with key stakeholdersto assist with the delivery ofoperational objectives and engaging in the change management process.
Additional requirements will involve supporting the directorate management team with other key service strategic and operational objectives. To achieve this, you will work closely with both clinical and laboratory teams which together with the directorate management team form the All Wales Medical Genomics Service.
You must demonstrate the ability and experience to work with a team of multi-discipline professionals, to deliver products of work of high quality, whilst achieving an excellent level of stakeholder satisfaction, with the ability for managing and prioritising your own workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
