Generic Rehabilitation Assistant for Critical Care

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new team member to join our therapies team on our Long Term Ventilation / Critical Care Units. This post is based at the University Hospital of Wales. Working hours are Monday to Friday to support the multi-disciplinary therapies team.

Main duties of the job

This is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation assistant role working as part of a dynamic therapies team, comprising of Dietitians, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists.

You will support early rehabilitation, wellbeing and recovery to patients within the Long-term Ventilation/Critical Care Units. Alongside this there is a non-clinical element to the role to support resource management, service development and data collection.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an interest in rehabilitation and previous experience of working in healthcare/therapies would be advantageous. We are looking for people who have
