Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available as a Part-Time Administrator/Secretary on T4 Neuro High Care Unit at the University of Wales Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Ward Manager and support colleagues in the wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will be part of a busy team, and will have contact with a wide variety of people, both internal and external to the organisation. You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the work of the team. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative, as is the ability to take a lead in dealing with issues and managing actions. You will be expected to be highly motivated, proactive and have effective communication skills and a flexible approach.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to carry out all clerical duties on T4 including PMS, Clinical Workstation, inputting data related to Health roster and assisting in a safe & considered Rota production. You will be responsible for answering calls from staff about shift queries and arranging staffing cover for the unit. Participation in all aspects of the stocktaking process working with CSSD to ensure adequate levels of sock are available to staff and ordering non-stock items on Oracle will be required. Composing thank you letters for donations, inputting data on ESR, monitor and track patients notes and maintain confidentiality at all times and maintaining an orderly filing system as well as organising meetings and booking venues are all aspects of the role that need to be undertaken.
