Cardiff and Vale UHB are able to offer an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking Physiotherapy team. We are looking for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to provide clinical leadership for the Physiotherapy service, within our multi disciplinary Cardiac Rehabilitation service.
Cardiac services within Cardiff and Vale UHB provide cardio-thoracic surgery and interventional cardiology services to patients within SE Wales. Patients from within Cardiff and Vale are offered a comprehensive multi modal Cardiac Rehabilitation programme.
In this role you will work closely with our Nursing Lead and Therapy colleagues to deliver our award winning, Nationally Accredited Cardiac Rehabilitation programme. Multi- disciplinary links are strong, physiotherapy has a high profile and valued role within this developing team.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic, motivated physiotherapist who can provide decisive and effective therapy input and can demonstrate leadership qualities, high level of communication skills and a flexible approach when working under pressure. You will provide clinical supervision to Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy students and Physiotherapy support workers.
The Department of Physiotherapy provides full induction, a comprehensive in service training programme, regular appraisal and opportunities for development in line with our values based appraisal scheme.
Main duties of the job
You will have responsibility for the day to day organisation of physiotherapy services to patients within the Cardiac Rehabilitation service.
They will be expected to carry a varied caseload of multi-pathology patients with complex needs and lead on both complex assessment and discharge planning - working effectively within the multi -disciplinary team. They will provide leadership and day to day management which will include planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating service provision and providing clinical supervision.
You will be required to work your contracted hours flexibly over 7 days which will include unsocial hours as well as committing to an emergency duty rota when required.
