Job summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a registered nurse to join the Generic Health Visiting service, providing advice and support to young families with children under the age of five years. This post provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to progress their career within the Health Visiting service by being supported in carrying out the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visitor) qualification.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be part of a skill mix team providing care and support to young families. They will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team. The role will involve developmental assessments in the home, group work and clinics. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
