Job summary

This is a highly rewarding job in the medical records department. You will be based in the bereavement administration department .

The role will involve speaking to bereaved relatives, doctors, funeral directors, the medical examiner, registrar and coroners office. The priority is to ensure that the relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner in order for families to be able to register the death of their relatives and make the necessary arrangements.

Main duties of the job

  • Answering telephone calls from bereaved relatives and explaining the bereavement process and answer any questions they may have
  • Preparing medical records to be scanned to the medical examiner
  • contacting doctors to complete the relevant paperwork
  • Laising with funeral directors
  • Maintain and update excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of multi faith deaths

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
