Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Band 8a Senior Nurse Manager for the Critical Care Directorate, to play a key leadership and management role, as the first phase of a planned expansion is currently underway for our developing Critical Care Unit.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the nursing staff, the quality and safety agenda, clinical governance and service pathways. You will also work with areas of responsibility to support the governance and assurance of the services.
You will possess highly developed leadership skills and management expertise and have a commitment to successfully delivering an expanding tertiary critical care service. Your skill set will include a proven track record in managing a large team, and experience and knowledge of managing the acuity, flow and capacity of a clinical service.
You will be expected to support the development of all staff within the service and deliver on the key performance indicators and outcomes working alongside the Lead and Senior Nurses, the directorate management team, and a team of Senior Nurse Managers for other areas within the Specialist Services Clinical Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
