Job summary
To maintain professional standards within the clinical areas utilising the competency framework to practice in line with NMC codes of conducts and other statutory and organisational standards. To manage a group of patients to deliver nursing care that is patient focused and reflect the philosophy of the UHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for keen and motivated band 5 nurses to join our team in delivering essential and specialist Cardiothoracic surgical nursing care to our patients. The Cardiothoracic surgical ward has relocated to the green zone in the University Hospital Llandough, the ward will be split across two areas and delivers tertiary surgical services and is recognised as one of the top centres within the UK. The ward has an excellent established nursing team who will be able to support and assist your development. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and will work well within a team. The ability to cope in stressful and demanding situations is highly desirable, although support will be given.
