Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, band 6 Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) CNS to work alongside the Lead TBI CNS and specialist MDT. Working within a Major Trauma Centre you will be continuing to develop a TBI service as part of the Neurosciences directorate at UHW.
We manage a caseload of complex patients, provide education, support and clinical advice for patients, their families and the MDT to facilitate the rehabilitation plan. We utilise advanced specialist skills and extensive knowledge base to undertake specialist assessments via patient centred approach.
Experience of managing neurosurgical patients with complex needs and discharge planning would be beneficial.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated, individual with excellent communication skills, effective teamworking and a passion for service development and improvement to join our team.
Main duties of the job
To devise, implement and follow up specialist treatments across the disease spectrum for patients within a specific group. To be a skilled practitioner providing clinical care using an extensive theoretical knowledge base and practical experience to underpin the role, while acting as a role model for the delivery of care.
To deliver specialist educational programmes to a range of healthcare professionals in relation to the specific disease including medical, nursing and Allied Health Professional staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
