Job summary
An exciting, challenging opportunity for an Energy Manager has become available within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The post holder, as the Energy Lead Specialist to the Health Board will be professionally, technically and managerially responsible for Energy Management, reporting to the Head of Discretionary Capital & Compliance
Main duties of the job
Have lead responsibility in providing specialist expertise on all aspects of, energy management and sustainable development issues across the Health Board's estate portfolio which is valued in excess of £450 million.
- Be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Health Board's strategic and operational energy and water management policies and protocols.
- Be responsible for the development and delivery of all energy and water conservation/control projects.
- Be responsible for monitoring and managing the Health Board's performance in relation to energy and water consumption/financial expenditure for a budget of circa £10 million per annum.
- Responsible as appropriate for management of and ensuring compliance with all environmental and energy legislation in particular EUETS, CRC, CHPQA, DEC's etc.
Potential candidates will need to have significant experience in Energy Management, be able to demonstrate specialist Energy knowledge to Degree level and demonstrate a proven track record of achievements.
