Job summary
You will be joiningour newIntensive Home Treatment Team (IHTT) and witha team of nursesprovide home based treatmentwherever possible as an alternative to hospital admission and, where an acute hospital admission is required, you will support the CYP and their family/carerworking in collaboration with colleagues in CAMHS, across the UHB and localauthority to ensuretheir need is met.
The post holder will have experienceworking with children and young people whopresent with complex, high risk behaviours.You will work witha team of multidisciplinary professionals to deliver a high-quality service to children and young people presenting with moderate to severemental health difficultieswithin the Cardiff and Vale locality.
The post holder will provide comprehensiveassessments, formulation and treatment plans for the young person and their family/carer. You will provide a commitment to safeguarding children and young people who require support from the service. You will have excellent communication skills and be the conduit for health and local authority.
Main duties of the job

In recent years and in particular following the Covid-19 Pandemic, children and young people have experienced a significant impact on their emotional and mental health needs andthe number of CYP accessing Crisis services has increased.
