Job summary
Applicants are invited for the role of Independent Sexual Violence Advocate working within Ynys Saff Sexual Assault Referral Centre based at the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. The successful applicant will have experience in the role of ISVA/IDVA and we are inviting applications from those with a Safe Lives/CAADA/Lime Culture certificate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in partnership with the Police , Safeguarding, Social Services, Crown Prosecution Service and the Third sector supporting adult/child clients through the criminal justice process or providing advice and support to clients thinking of reporting to the police. The post holder will ensure that the appropriate risk assessments are carried out during support and following the end of the criminal justice process, ensuring that the client is signposted for ongoing support as required.
This post is fixed term for 12 months from start date to meet the needs of the service, however there is potential that the role will become permanent.
