The post-holder will be working across a range of projects that support the ongoing delivery of Preceptorship and early careers support for AHPs as well as gaining experience of engagement with regulatory and professional bodies.

  • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from a range or organisations (health, social care, voluntary sector, patient groups) and from a range of professional backgrounds.

The postholder will report to the NHSE WT&E Regional Head of AHP, Midlands.

The post will be based in an HEE Midlands regional office; Leicester or Birmingham and under normal circumstances will require frequent travel throughout the region and sometimes nationally.

This is a fixed term or secondment fellowship until 31 March 2024and is being offered at Band 8a. Part time applications are welcome. Applicants will start at the bottom of the salary scale although previous experience on this pay scale may be taken into consideration. Salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions of Service and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to the annual cost of living review.

For those wishing to apply for a secondment. Please discuss and gain support from your line manager for the secondment before submitting your application for this role.

About us

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of AHP policy, and gain experience in HEE. Postholders will also benefit from mentoring and development from existing AHP Heads/Leads in the regional and national teams.

This is a varied and challenging role with a wide reach across HEE's business areas (and across all levels of the organisation to board level), the national team and delivery partners across the NHS landscape.
