Job summary
The post-holder will undertake a key project linked to the London Trailblazer programme for enhancing generalist skills. The London model for this national initiative is to support learning through engagement in a 'Team around the patient'.
This work will be closely linked to the learning outcomes of the Enhancing Generalist Skills Programme (all the six domains) and will revolve around the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
The main aims of the Fellowship are to help in further development of Enhance programme with a focus on implementation, training and evaluation.
The post holder will be instrumental in developing an understanding of the existing e-learning platforms and other aspects of teaching/ training material for all Enhance programme that are managed by the NHSE London.
The post holder will be instrumental in driving education and training reform and will lead on co-production and evaluation of various projects specific to London region, developing networks and championing the enhanced generalist skills project.
Main duties of the job
This section details the outcomes and deliverable that would be expected from the Fellow's role:
- Help to co-create interprofessional supervision training materials and to facilitate workshops
- Help to co-create educational material around reflective practice
- Help to co-create inter-specialty 'learning together' programmes for trainees
- Other ad hoc work in line with the aims of the Enhance Programme
- Work across multiple organisational and multi-disciplinary boundaries.
- Evaluate the modules developed

We are looking for one Fellow for 4 sessions (0.4 WTE) each.
The post-holder will be a clinician with at least three years experience post-foundation.
They will have evidence of excellent communication skills and a desire and ability to think broadly about clinical care and approaches to quality improvement especially around patient centred care. They will demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of current NHS policies across healthcare systems and experience of implementation in relevant areas.
Experience of negotiating with and influencing senior managers, project leads and staff at all levels of seniority. With demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
An aptitude for presenting ideas and plans to healthcare colleagues, patients and carers is essential.

There will be a vital role in networking with a range of health and social care partners across all sectors of care including third sectors.
