Job summary
The East of England NHSE pharmacy team manages the education, training and development of pharmacy professionals. An exciting new role is available in our team to support the delivery of the pharmacy education and training reforms and to deliver rapidly evolving clinical patient-facing and leadership roles across all pharmacy sectors.
We are delighted to offer 6 posts of Pharmacy Training Facilitator to experienced pharmacists who understand the HEE NHSE Multi Professional Framework and can support all aspects of training, supervision, job roles for the development of a flexible workforce needed for the pharmacy sector.
The successful candidate will work with and support the Regional Foundation Faculty, leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the NHS England mandate.
Main duties of the job
This post supports pharmacy training across the East of England working with the Pharmacy Education team. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership, together with expertise, advice and support to:
- Design, create and deliver appropriate teaching, learning and assessment plans to support pharmacy trainees and their educational supervisors
- Contribute to the design and development of the pharmacy education programmes and linking to the multi-professional school with shared common resources
- Identify and support pharmacy trainees requiring additional support
- Contribute to the availability of high quality training and support for pharmacy practice and educational supervisors
- Provide professional expertise on a specific portfolio of work
- Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education
This is an evolving job role and working in liaison with senior stakeholders and colleagues. You will be working across NHSE and its local teams to collect and share good practice and working closely with external stakeholders to create the environment, levers and policy to deliver crucial transformation in Pharmacy education and training.

The successful post-holder will be based within regional office in Cambridge. However remote working will be the default position during the current COVID 19 Pandemic. This will be continually reviewed in line with NHSE policy.
