You'll join our Data Warehouse team, handling the development, testing, and productionisation of ETL processes into the data warehouse. Main duties of the job
As a key member of our team, you'll support the sourcing, extracting, transforming, loading, and providing access for data within the NHSBSA's data warehouse(s). You'll use your expertise to provide highly complex data to drive the development of business intelligence and insight. You'll be an expert in data from within the NHSBSA and will liaise with data experts from partner organisations.
You'll provide expertise and specialist advice to IT and business service colleagues to ensure data are extracted from a wide range of business systems and transformed for loading in the data warehouse. You'll advise, and develop plans, with project and data analytics teams to deliver data requirements to improve information, data analysis and reporting. You'll investigate and resolve data issues and anomalies between data sets.
You'll develop and deliver plans to manage appropriate access to data within the data warehouse and data analytics environments so that data security and integrity are maintained. You'll use a range of manual and automated data movement tools and techniques and will work with very large datasets containing data which contains highly sensitive information.

Provide expertise in refining and transforming data.3. Provide and receive highly confidential data (personal information and commercially sensitive) ensuring that the implications for sharing andworking with these data sets are understood by users before permitting access to the data in the warehouse.4. Liaise with Senior Managers and strategic partners to gain access to data and provide assurance that data is appropriately controlled withinthe NHSBSA data warehouse.5. Contribute to and review policies and procedures for data access, identifying and implementing improvements ensuring data security andintegrity at all times.6. Agree priorities for bringing in data and develop plans with project managers to ensure that when data are changed as a result of businesssystem changes, the changes can also be implemented in the data warehouse.7. Responsible for ensuring changes to the ETL technology, and changes to ETL procedures as a result of business system changes, havebeen tested by approving test plans and reviewing results of testing. Coordinate work with testers.8. Prepare and update technical documentation for the data entering the data warehouse. Ensure that physical data are reviewed for updatesto data dictionaries and gaps in metadata are rectified.9. Analyse, investigate and resolve complex queries to identify data trends and quality issues. Share information with IT managers, informationgovernance and data governance to identify system errors, breaches of information security or confidentiality, and determine other causes ofdata issues.
