Main duties of the job
Medium Term Financial Planning/Business Planning
- Lead development of a medium term financial plan and financial aspects of Spending Reviews
- Setting activity, income and expenditure budgets
- Provide support to achieve savings targets
- Regular reporting
- Maintain relationships with funders
NHSBSA Finance Strategy
- Develop a coherent Finance Strategy; lead on alternative funding models
Business Partnering
- Line manage finance business partners
- Lead the provision of an excellent business partnering service
- Provide high quality financial advice
- Work with Head of Financial Strategy, NHSBSA senior leaders and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Financial Management Team
- Provide assurance of service costing system
Business Case/Project evaluation
- Provide financial expertise/advice to assure capital and revenue business cases
- Contribute to Project Review Boards
- Lead the financial aspects of benefits realisation
- Support major strategic transformation initiatives
- Oversee the work of the financial accountants
- Work collaboratively with the Project Management Office
