An opportunity has arisen for a Performance Analyst to join our NHS Jobs service where you'll be working alongside passionate people who work in a supportive and positive environment.

We are looking for a resourceful, forward thinking Performance Analyst to drive insight from the NHS Jobs service to improve our understanding of the user journey, support our business decisions and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies across the service.

Main duties of the job

1) Ability to handle large datasets with a clear understanding of how to clean, process, analyse, and visualise data.

2) Develop performance measurement frameworks (KPIs, goals, user needs, benefits etc) and subsequently analyse the performance of the service against these.

3) Conduct advanced analysis, interpretation, and presentation of complex data to create compelling evidence-based and actionable data stories to share with stakeholders to support decision making.

4) Collate and analyse data to make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies for NHS Jobs and, when requested, the wider business and external customers.

5) Communicate complex, and at times sensitive, data and analysis effectively at all levels, to both technical and non-technical audiences either verbally or in writing.

6) Represent the organisation as a data/business expert to internal and external customers.

7) Work collaboratively with a diverse range of customers/users within the organisation, the NHS, and external organisations to define and develop new information products and enhance existing information provision.

8) Inform the iterative design of the service to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy.

9) Provide challenge from a data perspective and collaborate with other digital and analytical professionals, particularly User Researchers, to provide collective insights.

The post holder will support the NHS Jobs Senior Management Team by delivering a high quality information and analysis service to support and underpin information needs for NHS Jobs.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the performance analysis of the live service as well as supporting the Project Team, within NHSBSA, responsible for designing the NHS Jobs service.

In this role you would be expected to develop performance measurement frameworks (KPIs, goals, user needs, benefits etc) and subsequently analyse the performance of the service against these. Using advanced analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data and information the post holder will support business decisions and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies for NHS Jobs and, when requested, the wider business and external customers.

In this role, you are accountable for:

1. Ability to handle large datasets with a clear understanding of how to clean, process, analyse, and visualise data.

2. Responsible for the access and development of systems to collect, collate, analyse and retain all forms of quality, financial and management information.

3. Deliver analytical products required to support the reporting of management information and insight alongside producing and maintaining the reporting suite that delivers quality information to the service.

4. Conduct advanced analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data to create compelling evidence-based and actionable data stories to share with stakeholders to support decision making.

5. Collate and analyse data to make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies for NHS Jobs and, when requested, the wider business and external customers.

6. Communicate complex and, at times, sensitive data and analysis effectively at all levels, to both technical and non-technical audiences either verbally or in writing. Ensuring the information provided is accessible and understandable and conforms to high standards.

13. Participate in user acceptance testing for new or changed information systems.
