Job summary

The Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of a programme to design, develop and implement tools, resources and interventions to improve the uptake and adoption of NICE approved medicines. Managing multiple stakeholders, the post holder will oversee end to end delivery of uptake and adoption support from initiation to evaluation, using a test and learn approach. The Project Manager will work alongside the wider project team to ensure robust governance, risk management, reporting and performance monitoring, while co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver high quality, user centred implementation support that support better outcomes, and health equity across the NHS. They will act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

As project manager, the postholder will be responsible for:

  • Leading various projects and activities and the delivery of high-profile objectives to support the uptake and adoption of NICE guidance
  • Providing robust project management support including developing and managing systems for projects, recording activities, managing risks, tracking and reporting progress
  • Providing leadership, supporting administrative staff to work with and monitor project plans
  • Developing, updating and maintaining processes, including the introduction and use of common approaches and techniques for project management across the programme.
