Job summary
As an analyst in the insight and programmes team, you'll play a key role in delivering NICE's ambition to be part of a system that constantly learns from data and implementation. You'll be part of a team which is focused on helping NICE and the wider healthcare system drive improvement by understanding the implementation and adoption of our recommendations.
You'll bring your experience of analysing NHS data to help us identify where our guidance is making a difference. You'll work with colleagues across NICE and stakeholders in the healthcare system to carry out analyses and identify actionable insights which support decision-making.
We're looking to recruit 2 analysts to complete our team. One post is permanent and will cover the breadth of NICE's work across guidelines, quality standards, medicines and healthtech. The second post is fixed term and will specialise in developing insights using medicines prescribing data.
Please note that we'll be holding interviews for these roles in person in our Manchester office on 23 October.

Main duties of the job
In these roles you'll be working as part of a team but taking a lead in your areas of topic or technical expertise.
What you'll be doing:
- Sourcing, collating, analysing and synthesising healthcare data to develop insights on the implementation and adoption of our guidance in the healthcare system, at a national and local level
- Developing analytical outputs and presentations suitable for a range of technical and non-technical audiences
- Communicating actionable insights which support decision-making within NICE and to the wider healthcare system
- Contributing to the writing, editing, design and critical appraisal of relevant programme publications
- Working closely with other team members, including reviewing and quality assuring outputs and agreeing suitable analytical approaches
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

The Impact and Partnerships directorate is responsible for driving and enabling the effective and appropriate use of all NICE guidance and advice, and supports the engagement of patients and the public.
Within the directorate, you'll join the insight and programmes team. Our analysts develop actionable insights by measuring the uptake of NICE guidance and analysing system intelligence gathered by colleagues across NICE.
