Main duties of the job
The people and communities team coordinator will be jointly responsible for the efficient and effective organisation of the administrative functions of the team alongside the other coordinator in the team.
The coordinator will:
- Work with the team's project manager, coordinator and administrator to plan, coordinate and monitor the progress of workplans, projects and events
- Work with the Head of Public Involvement and Engagement, senior public involvement advisers and public involvement advisers to support their work and ensure that objectives are completed to a high standard and that deadlines are met.
- Act as a key point of contact between the people and communities team and: staff at NICE; voluntary and community sector organisations; individual patients, carers, service users and members of the public.
- Provide support and advice to lay people about expenses policy and submitting their claims
- Develop and maintain databases and other records systems (for example, planning databases, a database of contacts, budget monitoring spreadsheets)
- Support the coordination and management of one of the 3 networks run by the people and communities team.
