Job summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful project management of the NICE Advice function including the work of NICE International. The project manager will work closely with other project managers, the assistant project managers, project coordinators and administrators to manage the planning and coordination of a portfolio of different projects, services and deliverables to process, time and quality, ensuring that processes are followed appropriately.The project manager will also work closely with the programme manager to support the delivery of a range of activities across the NICE Advice and NICE International programme, including triaging and interpreting enquiries and requests, developing proposals, reviewing and improving key operating procedures.

The project manager will also play a key role in liaising with external stakeholders nationally and internationally, including pharmaceutical and HealthTech companies, health experts, overseas Department for Business and Trade colleagues, and senior health leaders in different countries.

Main duties of the job

The Project manager will support NICE Advice, including the work of NICE International, across its varied portfolio of projects and activity.

Key responsibilities include:

o Coordinating staff and input from external stakeholders to successfully deliver NICE Advice's service offering, closely monitoring a number of different projects to ensure they run efficiently, with the appropriate security and risk measures in place, and to meet the needs of our clients and the team

o Working with national and international organisations, public bodies, academia, professional groups, NHS organisations, international health leaders and stakeholders, and other teams within NICE to support the activity of the programme

o Playing a key role in the collection, storage, and organisation of data from various sources to ensure accessibility and reliability for analysis. Supporting the development and implementation of data analysis techniques and tools to enable effective reporting, decision-making and strategic planning.

o Regularly reviewing operational procedures, identify areas for improvement, and lead on the implementation of changes in key areas.

o Updating senior team members on progress of different projects and working with the Assistant project managers to support risk mitigation and contingency strategies.

o Ensuring that customer needs and commercial considerations are a key focus when delivering on all responsibilities.
