Accountable to: Project Manager
This role does not currently involve line management.
Main duties of the job
The Coordinator is responsible for a range of activities, including:
Contribute to project planning and co-ordination and liaising with team members, other staff within NICE and external organisations to ensure that deadlines are met
Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets and other records systems
Provide efficient and effective coordination support to team members, including preparing correspondence and papers, collating, copying and distributing papers, managing diaries and making travel and accommodation arrangements
Provide assistance and contributing in the development of policies and procedures within the team and Centre/Directorate
Respond to written and verbal enquiries from a range of external organisations, ensuring these are handled appropriately and forwarded as necessary to the appropriate person
Provide advice and guidance to internal teams and external organisations on issues relating to work of the programme/Centre
About us
The Centre for Health Technology Evaluation develops guidance on the use of new and existing medicines, medical technologies, treatments and procedures within the NHS.
Under the leadership of the Director for Medical Technology, the HealthTech programme selects and assesses Health Technologies (medical devices, digital health technologies and novel diagnostic products), and develops guidance and advice on the clinical and cost-efficient use of these products for the NHS and its social care partners.
An operational function supports the wider HealthTech programme in delivering guidance to the NHS and patients.The coordinator will have a portfolio of projects that they take coordination lead for. They will work in an operational team alongside Programme and Project Managers, other Coordinators and Administrators on projects and centre-wide activity areas such asscheduling the work programme, overseeing and managing processes and business operations, committee administration and managing stakeholder relationships.
