Job summary
We are looking for an Assistant project manager in the Data and Analytics team within the Science, Evidence and Analytics (SEA) directorate. The Assistant Project Manager will be an integral part of the Data and Analytics team and will support the programme across its varied portfolio of projects including the Evidence Generation programme for Early Value Assessment. Responsible for developing and managing systems for the delivery of projects and activity, tracking progress and contributing to project planning and co-ordination. The Assistant Project Manager will help with the transition of Evidence Generation to business as usual and support the monitoring aspects of the Evidence Generation programme.
Contract type: Fixed-term until 31/03/2025
Main duties of the job
The Assistant project manager is responsible for a range of activities, including:
- Managing the process and activities relating to the Evidence Generation workstream for Early Value Assessment EVA-BAU
- Working with national and international organisations, public bodies, academia, professional groups, NHS organisations and other teams within NICE to support the activity of the Evidence Generation programme
- Developing, updating and maintaining processes and systems used by the Data and Analytics team to support business operations
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of projects and activity within agreed timelines

The Data and Analytics team provides leadership in data and real-world evidence to ensure NICE uses a broad range of evidence in its guidance and products. The team works with system partners to ensure that NICE has access to a comprehensive range of health and care data that can inform our guidance and to enable us to be part of a system that continually learns from data and implementation. We are responsible for developing and maintaining NICE's real-world evidence framework, which signposts best practice in planning, delivering, and analysing real-world evidence studies. We provide training and upskilling to our staff in data analytics and best practice in applying real-world evidence to our decision making. In addition, we lead and support a range of cross institute research and data analysis projects, as well as demonstration projects with external partners.
