Job summary
We are looking to appoint a locum consultant paediatrician to join our existing paediatric team to provide high quality comprehensive consultant only secondary care to the local community in the Bailiwick of Guernsey (65,000 people approx.)
This is a 6 month locum post to backfill a substantive vacancy which has arisen because of retirement.
The applicant will have a broad range of experience across paediatrics.
Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register.

About us
We are a partnership of currently 56 Consultants, which, under contract, provides specialist medical services to the Guernsey Health Service with a health care model that is different and separate from the NHS. As well as providing contract care the MSG consultants also provide private care, which is remunerated separately, but is carried out in both MSG and PEH facilities as there are no other private facilities on island. MSG administration and secretarial staff also support a consultant private practice. Tertiary care services are supplied by hospitals on the UK Mainland, mainly Southampton University Hospital, usually through contracted services.
The Princess Elizabeth Hospital is a modern hospital with approximately 145 beds and strong clinical links to UK mainland centres, particularly Southampton General Hospital and Kings College Hospital.
