Job summary

Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to employ a hardworking administration assistant who is energetic, flexible and eager to support the local Family Hub offer, which incorporates Early Language Support for Every Child (ELSEC) in Hartlepool. Is this you?

Do you have good communication and organisational skills and are you able to use your own initiative? Are you responsible and prepared to work across a number of buildings? If yes, you may be the person were looking for!

Main duties of the job

As an administrative assistant you will support Speech and Language Assistants as part of the Early Help offer in Hartlepool.For example arranging appointments / rotas, minute taking, accurate data entry and data reports.You will be expected to deal with enquiries from colleagues and parents, while delivering a high standard of customer service in a range of settings

  • Able to set up meetings and events and prepare agendas and minutes
  • Excellent organisational Skills
  • IT skills, Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Be approachable, friendly, flexible and helpful

  • Experience of working in an administrative function role
  • Experience of using data systems

  • Experience of working with parents, carers and the wider community
  • Experience of using SystmOne and ICS

Qualifications

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration, RSA, Word Processing or equivalent and must be willing to work towards NVQ 3
  • Evidence of data processing including recording information for statistical and evaluation purposes
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and e-mail
