Job summary

Community Support Services MiCare, is an inhouse provider for Rutland County Council. We are a short-term integrated health and social care service that provides short term support to people in their own homes. We put people at the heart of the service and deliver exceptionally responsive, person-centred care which enables the individuals to live a life of their choosing. We have just received an overall Outstanding from a recent CQC Inspection.

About you

Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Social Care, or equivalent

Have experience of providing personal care and support in either a paid or voluntary capacity

Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Able to record observations relevantly and accurately

Able to work effectively on own as well as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

About the role

As a MiCare Support Worker you will be responsible for the following:

Providing support to adults to develop and maintain activities of daily living

Supporting service users in a structured way to undertake a range of social care tasks such as washing, dressing/undressing, showering and bathing, meal preparation, domestic activities and engaging in community activities

Using supportive and motivational approaches to help service users identify and achieve their goals

Undertake a range of delegated health care tasks as required such as prompt prescribed medication, supporting the application of prescribed creams, eye and ear drops, catheter care and prompting exercise as prescribed by the physiotherapist.

Rutland County Council need MiCare Support Workers to work with us to provide Reablement services for people with disabilities and those who are frail and recovering from illness or injury. We are looking for colleagues who want to make a difference and who are kind, patient and hardworking with fantastic people skills and the motivation to provide a high-quality service. MiCare Support Workers focus on helping people restore their optimum level of independent functioning and provide a safety net homecare service.

About you

Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Social Care, or equivalent

About the role
