Main duties of the job

Introduction to the role of the team

SkILs reablement support helps people get their independence back at home after an illness, injury, or life change.

The SkILs Service supports adults with various requirements from a range of communities, using a person-centred approach, to enable them to maximise their independence and recovery.

Your role

The post holder will be community based, providing the service within customers own homes (you will need to be a car driver)

You will

  • Support people with everyday tasks like getting washed and dressed and becoming independent in doing this
  • Find new ways to enable people to do the activities they used to do
  • Build peoples confidence and support them to access the community facilities around them

Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as possessing numeracy abilities.
