Job summary

City of York Council is offering an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses and Midwives to join our transforming 0-19 Healthy Child Service. We are looking for high quality, innovative and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.

Our Healthy Child Nurses work in the 0-11 Health Visiting teams or inthe School Aged Health Team. The role is varied, interesting and fulfilling and provides opportunities to make a real difference to children, young people and their families.

Main duties of the job

Working as a Healthy Child Nurse you will contribute to the development and delivery of public health initiatives to promote the health and well-being of children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential. You will deliver programmes of support in various community settings, early years settings, school settings and in the homes of families as delegated by Health Visitors and School Nurses.
