This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in data analytics, who is ready to take on a key role supporting Adult Social Care in its developing data driven culture.

As our Adults Intelligence Lead you will be based within the Service Improvement and Integration Division of Adult Social Care. The role has line management responsibilities, and you will be required to complete all line management duties.

Main duties of the job

Ideally you will have experience in Adult Social Care or the NHS, but this is not an essential requirement for the role, and we are keen to hear from candidates from a range of backgrounds. You should be confident with handling large amounts of data and being able to extract data accurately from various IT systems. You will have knowledge of data practises and data modelling and be proficient with all aspects of data analytics and data quality.Understanding how to formulate reports and being able to prioritise your workload is a key part of the role. To lead on the collection, extraction and analysis of a vast range of sources of Adult Social Care intelligence to ensure that the Directorate can evidence outcomes, performance and service improvements across a range of specialties, which will inform effective business decisions, practice, commissioning and provision of care and support services.

  • Extensive experience of developing analytical tools and reports that meets the needs of a variety of audiences.
  • Experience and ability to translate non-technical requirements to technical and vice versa to ensure engagement with a variety of audiences.
  • Extensive experience of analysing complex data and converting into intelligence to inform resource allocation.
  • Significant experience in a complex analytical or intelligence role with an excellent understanding of a variety of information sources and relevant coding schemes.
  • Extensive experience of developing intelligence and benchmarking to support the development of departmental policies and commissioning.

Desirable

  • Extensive experience of working in a public sector environment, engaging with partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience of successful people, team and budget management.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or relevant intelligence qualification/ and or extensive experience of using intelligence data to meet needs and influence departmental policy and commissioning.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Excel and other products such as Business Objects, MS Access.

Desirable

  • Holder of a professional qualification in data analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of local authority care case management and finance systems.
  • Significant experience of change management within an organisation.
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of the statutory, regulatory, strategic and key operational intelligence/data issues relevant to Adult Social Care.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven skills and competencies to provide leadership to empower, enable, develop and motivate the workforce.
  • Significant ability to promote a strong performance culture throughout the organisation.
