Occupational Therapist

Salary -£42,708 - £47,754 (Grade 7)

Hours 37 hours per week

Contract type - full time, permanent posts

Work style - Field: working in communities across the city

We are looking for dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapists to join our Community Occupational Therapy Team and ourIndependentLiving Services.These roles provide the opportunity to work closely with individuals in their own homes,supportingthem to regain independence, improve their quality of life, and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct holistic assessments to identifyindividualneeds and develop person-centredsupportplans.
  • Recommend home adaptations, equipment, and assistive technology to promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and family members to deliver high-quality interventions.
  • Supporthospital discharge planning, preventing readmissions and enabling safe transitions into community settings.
  • Promote strengths-based approaches that empower individuals toleadfulfilling lives.
  • Provide education and training to staff, service users, and carers on occupational therapy interventions.

What Were Looking For:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC.
  • Experience working in a community or social care setting (desirable).
  • Strong assessment skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to enhance independence.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonalskills for working with individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload, balancing urgent needs and long-term interventions.
