Were currently in the process of re-evaluating and restructuring our Specialist Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services, with theobjectiveof advancing the educational outcomes for children and young people.
We are pleased with the promising progress in SEND services, with Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) reporting that Oxfordshires local area partnership has taken effective action to make improvements in services andsupportfor children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) following a monitoring visit in September 2025.

Main duties of the job

As part of this, we continue to invest in Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), with the growth of our four sub teams within the EHCP Casework Team:
- Assessment Team
- Early Years and Primary Team
- Secondary and Post 16 Team
- Tribunals, Resolutions and Compliance Team
Reporting to the Senior Officer, you will be responsiblefor all aspects of EHCP Casework, relating to Children and Young People and their families who are in receipt of an EOTAS package. You will be required to:
- Provide effective delivery of the statutory duties regarding EOTAS
- Be the named person for a caseload of Children and Young People in receipt of an EOTAS package and act as the main point of contact for services and providers.
- Ensure that Annual Reviews are held within the 12-month statutory timeframe, facilitate and chair the Annual review meeting, on behalf of the Local Authority, and request and collect all relevant reports/assessments from professionals.
- Link with the Local Authoritys commissioning team to ensure that safeguarding and quality assurance checks have been competed for external providers.
- Manage, advise andsupportChildren, Young People and families when new EOTAS requests are requested
- Link with the EHCP Casework Teams Tribunal, Resolution and Compliance Team andsupportwith any appeals as required

- Willing totake responsibilityand problem solve, working within statutory timeframes, dealing with complex casework and liaising with families and key agencies to ensure best provision and outcomes for our children and young people.
- Driven todo it differentlyto embark on a journey of continuous improvement in SEND.
- Advocating forequality and integrityin all you do, you can establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with our families.
- Experienced in attending and managing the Annual Review process, with effective management of complex cases, working across all services, especially in partnership with the Moving into Adulthood Team and Continuing Healthcare colleagues.
