Job summary
We are seeking acompassionateand dedicated ChildrensSupportWorker to join our North team, which covers Banbury, Bicester, Kidlington and surrounding areas.The successful candidate will provide high-quality care andsupportto children and young people who have a disability, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.This role involves working closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to create a nurturing andsupportiveenvironment.
As asupportworker you will be part of a valued team. The role is community based requiring you to travel to a number of homes and locations. Due to the nature of the roleyou will need to be a driver and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
You will contribute to, and attend meetings related to the Children/Young people yousupport.
You will besupportingChildren/ Young people providing domiciliary personal care for individuals within their own home.This involves personal caresupportincluding bathing, dressing, medical tasks and interventions for whichchildspecific training will be provided.
You will also support individuals to access leisure-based community opportunities.
You will need to be diligent and responds to any emerging safeguarding concerns.

- You will need to be conscientious, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to working with children and young people who have a disability, alongside their parents and care givers.
- You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills and be able to adapt your style and approach to each individual child and family.
- You must be anenthusiasticworker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
- The successful applicants will demonstrate acommitmentto continuous development and to working towards the successful completion of a Skills for Care certification

Children and Family Care Services supports Children/Young people aged 0 -18yrs who have a diagnosed disability and are open to the Disability Social work teams.

We provide domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities for young people in their own homes and local community.
