About Us

The Education, Employment and Training (EET) Service consists of EET Case workers based in Oxfordshire County Council Children and Family Centres around Oxfordshire.We provide one-to-one support for young people aged 16-18 (up to 25 with Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) or are care experienced) who are NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) and those who need extra help to re-engage with learning, work, or training.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part the of EET service and make a difference to a young persons ambitions and future learning and employment. As an an EET Case Worker you will work directly with a caseload of NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people to ensure they access suitable learning and employment. In addition to case work you will also have a list of NEET young people that need regular contact and offers of support and signposting to ensure they have every opportunity to access EET; this is in line with Raising the Participation age Raising the participation age - GOV.UK. This role is part time (22.5 hours) covering Bicester and surrounding areas.

Job Purpose:

To contribute to the Councils strategy to support vulnerable children and families by working directly with a caseload of NEET young people both on a one to one support basis and via enquiries to our website www.oxme.info

About you

Role Requirements:

You will need a Level 4 IAG qualification or equivalent related to working with young people. You will appreciate that you will also need skills and experience of work with NEET and vulnerable young people. The role will require a large degree of lone working and you will need to be able to manage your own diary. You will need to travel around the designated area when meeting young people plus community partners, meetings and training etc.
