About the Role Level 2 Social Worker

As a Level 2 Social Worker, you will:

  • Assess social care needs, develop support plans, and lead reviews.
  • Manage a varied and often complex caseload, providing consistency and stability for children and families.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and support students on placement, helping grow the next generation of practitioners.

About the Role - Advanced Practitioner

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will:

  • Manage complex caseloads, including highrisk plans and specialist court work, completing robust assessments and interventions.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and daytoday professional support to less experienced colleagues, shaping practice across the team.
  • Take up opportunities to become a Practice Educator, supporting the development of Social Work students.
  • Access clear development routes into management, supported by our Bridging the Gap programme designed to prepare Advanced Practitioners for future leadership roles.
